Every diagram, icon, and illustration used in the Olsie Discovery Archive — including the mark in the site header, the subject-area icons, and the diagram accompanying each entry — is an original editorial illustration produced specifically for this archive. None are photographs, and none are reproductions of third-party copyrighted material.
We chose this approach deliberately: it lets every entry carry a consistent, purpose-built visual explanation of its subject (for example, showing the light path through a telescope, or the layers of a solar cell) without the licensing uncertainty that comes with sourcing historical photographs of uneven and often unclear copyright status.
